Viver Foster Care recruits and supports foster families, emergency foster homes, and treatment families nationwide. We accept placements of children, young people, and adults in vulnerable situations who need security, stability, and care. Our operations are built on quality, competence, and respect for the individual, and we offer continuous support to our foster families to ensure the best possible conditions.

We are now looking for families and individuals who wish to become part of Viver Foster Care. Whether you are considering becoming a long-term foster family or an emergency foster home for acute placements, we welcome your application.

About the Assignment

Being a foster family or an emergency foster home means offering a safe and stable home environment and support. Placements come from the social services, and we form a team around each case to ensure the intervention is effective.

Placements can vary in length and scope depending on the individual's needs and the assignment. Complex cases may require an adult to be at home full-time; the matching process for each placement is crucial and is always done in dialogue with the foster family.

Viver works based on principles of security, continuity, and development for every child. Viver Foster Care has appointed a Child Responsible Officer whose main task is to ensure the child's well-being.

Tasks within the assignment:

• Offer a safe, stable home environment
• Provide daily care, support with schooling, and other necessary contacts
• Collaborate with Viver Foster Care, social services, and other relevant actors

Viver Foster Care offers:

• Continuous professional development in areas such as NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders), Trauma, Addiction, Crime, and BBIC
• Regular supervision and support
• 24/7 telephone on-call service
• Opportunity to participate in network meetings (digital or physical) with other foster families for experience exchange and skill building
• A team of competent staff available as support

Compensation

Compensation consists of two parts: an expense allowance (to cover daily costs) and a fee (for the work you perform).

Who can become a foster family or emergency foster home?

We welcome all family constellations – single individuals, couples, families with or without their own children. The most important thing is that you have a stable life situation, a good ability to create secure relationships, and a desire to make a difference.
